Dear Lay and Clergy Members of the 2021 and 2022 Annual Conference,

The 2022 South Georgia Annual Conference Session will be back to an in-person event and is set for June 5-8 at The Columbus Convention & Trade Center. The theme for Annual Conference is “Great is Your Faithfulness.”

The annual gathering will begin on Sunday evening, June 5 and conclude mid-day Wednesday, June 8. Thanks to vaccinations and proper protocols, at this time we feel confident that an in-person gathering can occur in June of next year. While we will still offer a livestream option for those not able to be present in Columbus, voting on conference matters will only be available to in-person lay and clergy members.

The program committee and conference staff are monitoring the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and are prepared to make format adjustments should they be warranted. The 2022 session will implement recommended health protocols in order to provide the safest conference experience possible for delegates.

We are opening the hotel room blocks now so that delegates may begin to make travel arrangements (see information below).

Additional important conference information and deadline notifications will be sent to delegates in January. Please ensure that all delegates have an email address entered into the conference database by using the church dashboard, or contacting your district office for assistance. Email is the primary means of communication regarding the 2022 South Georgia Annual Conference.

The Program Committee appreciates the continued flexibility of conference members as we plan for our upcoming session. We look forward to being together once again as we proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and conduct our business in a worshipful and hopeful manner.

I look forward to greeting you in Columbus in June!

Meredyth Earnest
SGA Conference Secretary
