Where did 2018 go? Time flies when you are having fun in ministry, and we are quickly approaching a new year! A new year often ushers people into churches for a brand new start. What a great time to prepare for those searching for something meaningful. We have just the answer! For those of us who are leaders in our church, we find ourselves looking towards a new year to see where we want to go and what we need to do to get there. Connectional Ministries is here to help!
 
Connectional Ministries is sponsoring a 2019 Leadership Tour. Each stop on the tour will have a variety of workshops to equip leaders whether "new" to their role or a seasoned leader looking for "new" ideas. This training is a great way to start off the year in ministry together! There are four locations to choose from:
January 6 - Americus First UMC 
January 13 - Pine Forest UMC, Dublin 
January 20 - Tifton First UMC
January 27 - Springfield UMC

The Watch Night, or Covenant Renewal Service, has been a part of Methodism since John Wesley first used it in 1755. Wesley found it meaningful and "a time of remarkable blessing." He made frequent use of it when visiting the early Methodist Societies. The Watch Night service is today most often held on New Year's Eve, sometimes concluding at midnight or on New Year's Day.
